Ben generates visual arts through creation and deconstruction of imagery. In their photographic work, they participate in a spiritually driven act of autotheory to express personal narratives about grief, ephemerality, and fears of the moment. Ben achieves this through the act of altering and tearing photographs apart, using materiality and distortion to drive their concepts. Within their multimedia work, Ben generates art form the archive. They repurpose and appropriate various found imagery, giving the images a second life as objects in a larger composition.
